Had the best experience with VCM. I had a vision and they helped bring it to life. They did all phases of the job which made my life so much easier! They took out my old gas fireplace, framed the space for a new stone surround, installed a new built in gas fireplace (which they sold me), found the perfect stone for the look I wanted, and helped me create a custom wood mantle to complete the job. Our two chimneys were in a state of much needed repair. Both chimneys were made of cultured stone without any grout holding them together and after many years of wind, snow, and rain, you could literally pick the stone out and remove it. Vermont Custom Masonry responded quickly to our request for a quote, came in when promised, and finished the job when promised, and held to the quote. They demo'd the chimney, all the while protecting the roof, reinstalled flashing, rebuilt the chimney's with stone block and mortar, then washed and waterproofed the chimney, and finally cleaned up and removed the debris, including raking out the lawn where it had landed. We are super pleased with the new look of the chimney's and super pleased with the work these guys did. Highly recommend!!
